Heavy-Duty A-Frame Bird Feeder (Cut-Ready DXF)

Design & Table-Friendly Breakdown:

  • Multi-Piece Shell Construction: The main shell is broken into separate flat sections to fit standard plasma cutting beds (such as 3x4 tables).

  • Bending Relief Cuts: Main wrap/roof and base plates feature bend relief lines for easy, accurate hand or brake bending.

  • Modular Assembly: Base, side, and main body panels weld together cleanly at the joints.

Included in Download:

  • Complete DXF cutting file.

  • Customizable back plate template (includes "CUSTOM TEXT OR ART" area for personalized names).

Bill of Materials (BOM) & Materials Needed:

  • Sheet Metal: 14 Ga Mild Steel (recommended).

  • Center T-Brace Support: 1/2" Square Tubing

    • Vertical Post: 23.5''

    • Horizontal Cross-Brace: 18''

  • Finish: Rust oleum hammered texture or whatever you prefer.

Fabrication & Assembly Steps:

  1. Cut: Cut all DXF flat patterns.

  2. Bend: Form the flat rectangle piece at the cut relief lines, bending the base lip and side up into shape.

  3. Weld Frame: Weld the separate side panel to complete the outer shell body.

  4. Weld T-Brace: Fabricate the 1/2" square tube "T" brace ($23.5'' \times 18''$) and weld it in the center between the front and back panels to lock in frame rigidity and prevent sway
